Canadians Elders Advancing Climate Action and Social Development

In 2024/2025, the Society Promoting Environmental Conservation (SPEC) interviewed ten Canadian elders about how their commitment to climate and environmental justice is helping shape a more sustainable and equitable world.
💪These stories highlight far-reaching contributions—not only to climate action, but also to ending hunger, securing clean water, reducing inequalities, supporting sustainable communities, protecting marine life, and strengthening peace and justice.
🙏I’m deeply honoured to be among those interviewed. My story is on the journey for a more just, inclusive and self-determined world for older persons – foucsed on human rights and the UN Covention.
✨Let’s take a moment to recognize the vital contributions of older generations—those around us and across the globe. We see a powerful legacy of perseverance, humanity, and hope when we do.
All the stories are available here at the SPEC website.
